INSTALL IN 5 EASY STEPS

STEP 1
Apply Using a Pressurised Sprayer
Begin by ensuring your decorative stones or mulch are clean and dry before application. Using a pressurised spray bottle, evenly coat the surface with Stonehold. Hold the spray bottle about 6-8 inches above the stones and apply a generous but controlled amount. The goal is to lightly soak the top layer without creating puddles.

STEP 2
Rake Through Your Stone
Once you’ve applied the initial coat, take a rake or hand trowel and gently turn over the stones. This helps distribute the binder more evenly, ensuring deeper penetration into the layers beneath. Raking also prevents clumping and ensures a natural, even appearance when the process is complete.

STEP 3
Re-Apply Stonehold
After raking, apply another layer of Stonehold using the pressurised sprayer. This second coat helps to bind more of the stones together and ensures stronger adhesion. Be sure to cover the entire surface evenly for a consistent hold.

STEP 4
Flatten The Stones Using a Trowel
For a polished and uniform look, lightly press the surface using a hand trowel or a similar flat tool. This step helps set the stones in place and creates a firmer, more compact finish. Avoid pressing too hard, just enough to help the binder settle and secure the stones.

STEP 5
Wait 24 Hours, Re-apply For Strongest Hold
Allow the surface to dry for at least 24 hours before applying a final coat. This waiting period ensures the initial layers bond properly. After 24 hours, apply one last light coat of Stonehold for extra durability and long-term stability. Once dry, your stones will be firmly set in place, reducing movement and mess while maintaining a natural look.

StoneHold is a high-strength gravel glue and stone binder designed to lock loose gravel, stones and decorative aggregates in place. It provides an easy-to-use solution for creating firmer, tidier surfaces in garden paths, decorative borders, flower beds and other areas of loose stone.
The ready-to-use formula works as a gravel adhesive, coating the aggregate and helping prevent stones from moving, scattering or being kicked out of position while still allowing the finished surface to remain porous.
Coverage depends on the application method, aggregate size and depth. One 2.5L container will cover up to approximately 5m² and should be applied in dry conditions.
StoneHold is designed primarily for decorative areas and pedestrian traffic. For driveways and areas subject to regular vehicle traffic, we recommend using a full resin bound surfacing system.
StoneHold Gravel Glue FAQs
What is gravel glue?
Gravel glue is a liquid binder used to help hold loose gravel, stones and decorative aggregates in place. StoneHold coats the aggregate and bonds the stones together, helping reduce movement and scattering while still allowing water to drain through the surface.
What can StoneHold gravel glue be used for?
StoneHold is suitable for garden paths, decorative borders, flower beds, landscaped areas and other surfaces containing loose stone or gravel. It is particularly useful where you want to keep decorative aggregates in position without replacing the existing surface.
Can StoneHold be used on driveways?
StoneHold is primarily designed for decorative areas and pedestrian traffic rather than regular vehicle use. For driveways and areas subject to vehicle traffic, we recommend a properly installed resin bound surface using polyurethane resin and suitable aggregates.
How much area does 2.5L of StoneHold cover?
A 2.5L container covers up to approximately 5m². Actual coverage will vary depending on the size and type of aggregate, the depth of the stone and how heavily the product is applied.
What type of gravel can StoneHold be used with?
StoneHold can be used with many types of clean, dry decorative gravel, stones and aggregates. Best results are achieved where the aggregate is free from excessive dust, dirt and moisture before application.
Does StoneHold make the surface waterproof?
No. StoneHold is designed to bind loose stones together while allowing the surface to remain porous, so water can continue to drain through the aggregate.
How should StoneHold be applied?
StoneHold should be used with clean, dry aggregate in dry conditions. For surface application, spray it evenly across the aggregate to achieve suitable coverage. Alternatively, StoneHold can be mixed thoroughly with the aggregate before it is placed and finished. The surface should then be left undisturbed while the binder cures.

"Game-Changer for Loose Stones!"
I’ve tried other stone binders before like Easihold, but nothing has worked as well as StoneHold. I used it on my driveway borders, and it’s made a huge difference – no more stones getting kicked onto the driveway! The step-by-step guide made it really easy to apply, and the finish is natural and solid. I’ll definitely be buying more for my next project!

"Brilliant for Mulch & Pathways!"
I used StoneHold to keep my bark mulch in place around my flower beds, and it worked like a charm. The mulch used to blow away in the wind, but now it stays exactly where I want it. It’s also water-based and non-toxic, so I feel safe using it around my plants and pets. Great product and well worth the money!

"Works Exactly as Described!"
I used StoneHold to secure the decorative gravel in my garden pathways, and I’m beyond impressed! The application was straightforward, and after just 24 hours, the stones were firmly set in place. No more annoying shifting or loose gravel spreading everywhere. It’s also completely clear, so it doesn’t change the look of the stones. Highly recommend!
