Bound Base PRO Heavy Traffic & Commercial Full Kit - 6-10mm

The Bound Base PRO Heavy Traffic & Commercial Full Kit combines binder, 6–10mm aggregate and 5kg of Binding Quartz for the base course beneath decorative resin bound surfacing. It is intended for heavy traffic and commercial projects using the full Resin Mill system specification appropriate to the site.

What is Bound Base PRO?

Bound Base PRO is a resin bound base course that provides a stable, permeable foundation beneath decorative resin bound surfacing. It combines Resin Mill’s single-part polyurethane binder with specified aggregates and is installed with 50kN structural reinforcement mesh above and below the base layer.

Designed as an alternative to a traditional asphalt or concrete base course, it forms part of the complete surface construction. It sits above a properly prepared, free-draining sub-base and beneath the decorative resin bound finish.

Why use Bound Base PRO?

• A permeable foundation: the base allows water to pass through into a suitably designed sub-base and drainage system.
• Quicker progression on site: a typical overlay time of 2 to 6 hours helps installers move on to the decorative surface. Catalyst can accelerate curing to help complete the full installation on the same day, subject to site conditions.
• Straightforward mixing: the single-part binder avoids measuring and combining separate resin components. Catalyst is added when required.
• Reinforced construction: the system uses 50kN Structural Reinforcement Mesh above and below the base course to help distribute loads and improve crack resistance.

Bound Base PRO is a base layer, not the finished wearing surface. Ground preparation, sub-base design and drainage must suit the site and intended traffic. Follow the full Resin Mill system specification.

Kit contents

• 1 × 4.5kg Bound Base PRO binder in an 11 litre bucket
• 4 × 25kg 6–10mm Bound Base Aggregates (100kg total)
• 1 × 5kg Binding Quartz

Coverage

Approximately 2.5m² per kit.

Coverage assumes a capping layer is used. Without a capping layer, coverage will be approximately 10–15% lower. The calculator uses the stated coverage and does not adjust for this reduction.

Mix 4.5kg of Bound Base PRO binder with 100kg of aggregate. Add 5kg of Binding Quartz for all heavy traffic and commercial applications.

The 4.5kg binder is supplied in an 11 litre bucket to allow space for mixing in catalyst. Catalyst is required below 15°C. It can also be used at all temperatures within the product’s application range where faster curing is required to help complete the full installation on the same day. Suggested dose: 1ml per 4.5kg binder pack.

Catalyst and 50kN reinforcement mesh are not included and must be ordered separately. Capping-layer materials and the decorative resin bound top layer are also not included.
